I am an arts manager, writer and independent dance & performance artist on contemporary art. I focus on creating experimental research projects mainly in women, taboos, connectivity between self and society.
Stillness, endurance and interaction are base of my works. I work with sound improvisation, sound, body and object installations which are in connection with space and audience. My curiosity towards universe and creation takes me connection points in life without human-created borders. So, in my works, I seek international and interdisciplinary understanding to expand horizons for myself and my collaborators.
I have BA in Business Administration at Boğaziçi University and have marketing experience in prestigious companies and projects. I started dancing in university times in addition to my movement love which have come from my childhood times in sports. In 2012, I started modern dance training in Akbank Art Center and have continued in ÇATI Contemporary Dance Artists’ Association in various disciplines as contemporary, Butoh, improvisation, contact improvisation.
In 2013, I had my certification as yoga and meditation instructor. Meditation and yoga has a big portion of my art practices and teaching method.
Moving Warsaw in 2015 enabled me to work with valuable dancers and teachers. I also became a co-creator of a self-initiative performance group SzurSure which focuses on site-specific works.
I put my marketing and artistic experience and continuous curiosity to learn and develop in one pot. I am currently working on unique and creative artistic and audience development projects individually, in collaboration with artists and corporations. I have been writing in Gaia Magazine to spread the effect of art within the society and has a role as International Relations Manager.
