Founding director of Atelier Muse, artist, researcher and business mind, Müge Olacak lives in Istanbul and works globally. She graduated from Boğaziçi University Business Administration and has gained experience within various multinational companies. She has continued her contemporary dance and choreography education, that she started in Turkey (2012-15), in Poland (2015-16). She has been performing on contemporary dance, performance, producing interdisciplinary with the focus on woman, freedom of expression, taboos, personal and social relationship issues.
She has worked with Nevin Aladağ, Tetsuro Fukuhara, Erdem Gündüz, Alexandra Pirici, Manuel Pelmus, Defne Erdur, Mustafa Kaplan, Gonzalo Catalinas Gallego, Krama Dance Company, Paulina Święcańska, Ksenia Opria, Radosław Palutkiewicz (Baltic Dance Theatre) among others. She is co-founder of SzurSure (Poland) performance group.
She has participated in Artinternational (2015), Artist – Istanbul International Art Fair (2017-18), Reunion International Performing Arts Meeting (Portugal) and made projects and performed in places such as Warsaw Science and Culture Palace, Mazowiecki Culture Institute, Salt Galata, ÇATI, Akbank Art Center, bomontiada Alt.
She has been granted by ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) and HAU Hebbel am Ufer Berlin, Hrant Dink Foundation, Nantes Creative Generations Forum, European Cultural Foundation and KOSGEB Entrepreneurship Program and, awarded with the NCG Cooperation Award with her projects that she has produced and managed.
Her writings mainly about dance has published on Gaia Dergi, Dans Yazım (co-founder), BUMED Magazine in addition to her role of Chief Editor at the new online publication Jukebox Today by Atelier Muse.
